I've heard that have less outdoor poultry salmonella. Obviously a chicken with a better diet and less stress than hens raised battery ... Teeny who won in small cages and cut the bill to reduce pecking injuries ... But I digress ...
ER, where was I? Ah, yes ... less stress. However, these free-range chicken eggs will be less chance of salmonella because the natural defenses of the egg, protecting the environment a chick is intact and strong. Not to mention cleaner. Much of the problem of salmonella in eggs have generally come from contamination of the eggshell or interruptions in the tank itself. At least according to the CDC.
